Blackberry Lemonade Martini

I don’t usually start off Monday morning with a cocktail (maybe I should!), but since the Blackberry Lemonade Martini I was enjoying last weekend was the featured photo on the LA Times Food What did you eat this weekend? photo gallery today, I thought folks might like the recipe. It’s been pretty hot here in Southern California, but nothing like the temps back east and in the South. So, short and sweet, here’s a little something to help beat the heat!

With the temps soaring here I decided to print this recipe & give it a try. This will be a perfect poolside drink, no drink umbrella required! Congratulations on your LA Times feature!

Great martini for a Monday morning ;-) Thanks for sharing this. I’m SOOOOO SOOOOO sorry I didn’t get to see you when I was in Cali. It was super busy the whole time, and the only times I had away from all our relatives and friends, I took the opportunity to take my mom around the city and show her stuff she never had the chance to see in the million visits we have made to LA over the years. She LOVED it and finally got to see the beautiful side of LA… like the Getty Center :) Hope I’ll see you next time though!!! I plan on returning again in the next year (God willing).

@Kathy – I think this is just what you need for the sweltering weather you’re having!

@Lisa – Thank you! The lemon drop was replaced as my favorite martini :-)

@Victoria – No worries! You were here to spend time with family and old friends and I know you were jamming the whole time! You never know, I may make it back to NYC some time this year and catch up with you there :-)

Sounds perfect! We had a similar drink at our wedding but it was made with raspberries instead, I can’t wait to try it with blackberries!
