She’s Cookin’ brings you simple + seasonal recipes, heart-healthy meals designed for busy lifestyles. Priscilla Willis, author of She’s Cookin’, hopes to encourage you to eat at home more often and demonstrate some love in that old-fashioned way: a delicious and nutritious home-cooked meal, because those hours spent with family and friends around the kitchen table are the foundation of treasured memories.

Priscilla’s focus on heart healthy recipes is driven by her husband’s eleven year struggle with heart disease. She affectionately refers to her husband as The Don and her daughter as The Young Baker or College Girl. Now that her daughter is in college and she finds herself with an empty nest, Priscilla travels more often with her husband. She posts twice a week, generally, one heart healthy recipe and one write-up on a local food event or restaurant. Although she pictures all manner of mouth-watering dishes, her desire is to highlight restaurants that are committed to seasonal, farm-to-table menus and inform readers of heart healthy menu options available at restaurants.

Priscilla is a contributing writer at OCFamily.com and OCMenus. OC Family has 15,000 subscribers that are parents and professionals who lead fast paced lives and are generally most interested in meals that are healthy and delicious, yet quick and easy to prepare.

Priscilla also contributes Travel-Eats articles at Honest Cooking, an international online culinary magazine, recent winner of Saveur magazine’s 2012 Best Food Blog Award for Best Group Blog.  Her articles can be found on her contributor page.
