Today, I attended the Slow Food Orange County fundraiser in Bommer Canyon. I’ve never been to Bommer Canyon and was totally awestruck at the beauty of this oasis in the midst of urban sprawl. The principles of this world-wide organization are gaining momentum in the U.S. and I’ll be writing more about them this coming week.
Meanwhile, I couldn’t wait to share this refreshing respite that harkens back to Orange County’s early days when rancheros dotted the landscape now criss-crossed with congested freeways and endless suburban developments.

Beautiful photographs…I look forward to hearing more about your experience. The slow food movement is one I’ve just recently been exploring, and I’m excited to hear your impressions.
