The Summer Movie Classic serves up culinary masterpieces from over 30 of Orange County’s finest restaurants. The restaurants are truly spectacular, offering everything from ceviche shooters to creative tacos and sliders, to freshly brewed specialty coffee and decadent desserts. There is something for every palette and guests are sure to try a new restaurant they haven’t discovered. Each of the local restaurants donates their time and talent to this event, making it a huge success to raise funds and friends for Hoag. In addition to the great food and tasting options, there will be live entertainment and a private showing of the film Gravity.
The Summer Movie Classic has raised over $2 million dollars and introduced a number of new friends to Hoag since its inception in1988. “Now in its 27th year, the Summer Movie Classic has been one of Orange County’s largest and finest gourmet gatherings, attracting dedicated friends of Hoag,” said Gina Cereda, event co-chair with Terri Turner. “This will be a night to remember for all who attend in support of Hoag and the patients and communities they serve.”

Our family has a deep personal connection to Hoag Hospital and are long time supporters. My daughter Chloe was born at Hoag and required a team of neonatal specialists and we credit Hoag ER for saving my husband Don’s life on several occasions in the past decade. We are forever grateful and feel fortunate to have such an exemplary hospital so close to us.
