Cruising Newport Harbor in an electric boat is a quintessential Newport Beach outdoor experience. Bask in the warm sunlight while leisurely tooling along or, later in the day, take in a brilliant sunset on a relaxing cocktail cruise as you drift by myriad sea-worthy vessels and the mega mansions and charming houses that line the shore. The Lighthouse Bayview Cafe can make your cruise even more memorable with their Dock and Dine service that includes food delivery directly to your boat, if you choose.
Being on the water can stoke your appetite and whatever you’re craving, it’s very likely that you’ll find something delicious to satisfy that craving on the Lighthouse Bayview Cafe’s menu. Peruse their menus, call and place your to-go order, pull up to the dock and they’ll deliver right to your boat. It’s as easy as that! This allows you to use all of your boat rental time on the sparkling water enjoying the sealife and your boating companions.
A few new Spring menu items available now that might hit your sweet spot include an irresistible stack of Blueberry Mascarpone Pancakes (I can personally vouch for how light, fluffy and delicious these pancakes are – and I’m not even a pancake lover!) or King’s Hawaiian French Toast with Mango compote, and whipped cream drizzled with maple syrup. (Breakfast is available until 11 a.m.)
Dining in or on the water, the Short Rib Grilled Cheese with tomato soup satisfies the little kid in all of us. Muenster and Gouda cheese oozes over tender braised short rib on grilled sourdough bread served alongside a warming, chunky tomato soup.. Also new to the lunch menu is a vegetarian Balsamic Portobello Mushrooms Sandwich with Provolone, roasted tomatoes, arugula, and pesto mayo.
New Spring dinner dishes include a meaty Portobello mushroom vegetarian option in addition to proteins from the land and sea. Low carb Cauliflower ‘fried rice’ and blistered Shishito peppers accompany the Grilled Marinated Portobello Mushrooms brightened with a sweet chili sesame vinaigrette (lunch and dinner).
A highlight on both the lunch and dinner menus is the Chile de Arbol Seafood Pasta brimming with clams, shrimp, mussels and King crab.
Other new Spring-inspired dishes making their debut on the Lighthouse menus are the Lobster Thermidor Omelet at breakfast; Grilled Skirt Steak accompanied by cilantro scented white rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, black beans, and Chimichurri sauce (lunch selection) and, on the dinner menu: Steamed Manilla Clams & Bacon, confit tomato, wine butter sauce and crusty bread, and Thyme braised Bone-in Chicken with Summer succotash, corn pudding, and roasted chicken jus.
