Lobster and Goddesses

One fine Sunday at Capistrano Beach (Capo Beach to locals), a coterie of women who call their eclectic group the Goddesses, gathered to catch up after the holidays and enjoy a lobster feast prepared by their hostess and fellow Goddess, Lucy.

As  you can imagine (or maybe you can’t), this is no small feat; with the help of Goddess Shannon everything from the grill, to the wood for the bonfire, to the cases of water was hauled to the fire pit area via the bridge over Coast Highway.

While Lucy was grilling fresh lobster and sausages, followed by asparagus, we were munching on spicy steamed shrimp and assorted cheeses! The evening was capped off with authentic hot chocolate made in a camp coffee pot with a dash of spirits added to ward off the windy chill! C’est magnifique!

All I can say is, if I were ever on Survivor, I would want Lucy on my team!
