I’m excited to be attending The Farmers’ Table Wine Trail tasting for the first time. Here is the tasting menu and wine pairings that this year’s attendees will enjoy:
2021 Farmers’ Table Wine Trail Tasting Menu
- Adam Puchta Winery
Sweet Corn Fritter, paired with Vignoles
- Bias Winery
Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake with Raspberry Drizzle, paired with Raspberry Weisser Flieder
- Curling Vine Winery
Wasabi Deviled Eggs, paired with Vidal Blanc - Dierberg Star Lane Tasting Room
Roasted Beef and Garlic-Herb Cheese Crostini, paired with Pinot Noir - G. Husmann Wine Company
Edamame Crunch with Spicy Peanut Dressing, paired with Amalia Manwaring - Hermannhof Winery
Smoked Turkey with Peach Chutney, paired with Vignoles - Röbller Vineyard
Italian Braised Pork with Gravy served on Polenta, paired with Chambourcin
In addition to award-winning wine, The Farmers’ Table Wine Trail will showcase corn, soy, beef, pork, turkey, eggs, and dairy – all foods representing the state’s vibrant agricultural landscape. In the past, guests had the opportunity to learn about farms from Missouri CommonGround volunteers as they tasted their way through the delectable wine and food pairings. However, due to Covid19 safety precautions, volunteers from the various commodity groups will not be available to chat with visitors. Instead, cutouts of farmers will have a QR code that guests can scan and listen to a video about the commodity group behind the food pairing at each winery.
“The Hermann Wine Trail is excited to host The Farmers’ Table Wine Trail for the third year. It is a perfect addition to our popular wine and food pairing events,” said Hermann Wine Trail President Patty Held. “This opportunity allows us to showcase the best of what Missouri has to offer, great food and wine in beautiful Hermann wine country.”
