Lobster Rolls

This week’s obsession….

It’s Thursday! The official beginning of the weekend here in SoCal and possibly everywhere, but I can’t vouch for that 🙂

I could officially use a happy hour about now – how about you? Now if only Capital Grille, Beverly Hills was a little closer so I could indulge in a luscious lobster roll with a refreshing Grapefruit Buck. Oh, and throw in some heavenly truffle fries while you’re at it!

Last week I, along with 75 other close friends, was invited by the intrepid Anita of Mad Hungry Woman to experience the newly launched Happy Hour at The Capital Grille in Beverly Hills. Anita and Capital Grille know how to do things right and we were all excited to be among the first to savor the delicious menu items and signature cocktails.

We were treated to an endless array of tray passed appetizers including lobster and crab burgers and calamari (pictured above), shrimp cocktail, mini signature cheeseburgers, and fresh mozzarella, crisp prosciutto, and basil sandwiches (pictured below), mini tenderloin sandwiches, and my favorites: the luscious lobster rolls and truffle fries (so fragrant that keen noses detected the aroma of truffles even before they hit the table!) All bar menu items and signature cocktails are $6.00 during Happy Hour (M-F 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.).

Currently only available at the Beverly Hills location, use their contact form to start pleading for it in Orange County 🙂

That is a great idea! I really wish all Capital Grilles would do a happy hour. That menu is pretty awesome, and very cheap considering the setting. I’m glad you got to check it out, and I hope for all our sakes they extend the deal to other locations 🙂

Is this the same one as the one at Southcoast Plaza? I’ve been wanting to try it for a long time. I love lobster rolls and your photo looks amazing!

Thanks everyone! Tough to beat lobster rolls and truffle fries, esp. on a Happy Hour menu!

@Anita – I know, we have to work on getting them to offer it the OC location!

@Jessica – Yes, same group. Unfortunately, the South Coast Plaza location doesn’t offer Happy Hour. Yet 🙂
