This week’s obsession….

fried deviled eggs, deviled eggs

This was the apogee of what began as a highly anticipated lunch at Nick’s, Laguna Beach with my friend, Anita Lau of Diary of a Mad Hungry Woman, but quickly descended into a memorable experience we’re not soon to forget. Fortunately, we savored these golden orbs of crunchy, salty deliciousness before “the incident”. I don’t do restaurant reviews per se, if its not good, you won’t see or read about it here; Nick’s fried deviled eggs were unique and incredibly good – the rest of our lunch, not so much… If  you’re curious about our experience at Nick’s, please check out her review and weigh in if you like.

I have never seen or had a deviled egg before…I have a feeling I would really like it though haha. I really enjoy deviled eggs, like more than a normal person should. I could pop about 8 of those and not even think twice hehe…looks yummy! Oh and I love Yelp! So helpful

Being Southern we are more than a little familiar with deviled eggs, but have NEVER encountered fried deviled eggs! In the South, of course, we fry everything… twinkies. snickers bars, everything… but have yet to encounter these little beauties. Very intriguing! Looks yummy!
