Mark your calendars for\u00a0September 20<\/span><\/span>–21, 2014<\/span><\/span>, to be among the food and wine lovers from all over Southern California (and beyond!) who will descend upon Newport Beach to experience a world-class epicurean journey through live cooking demos with celebrity and local executive chefs, tastings from over 40 wineries, elite sommelier panels, mixology courses and live jazz.<\/div>\n

The Festival opens its doors at\u00a011am Saturday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Sunday<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>. The day will begin with a blind tasting and\u00a0sommelier panel<\/span><\/b>\u00a0from\u00a011:30am-12:30pm<\/span><\/span>\u00a0with OC\u2019s leading wine experts, including Master Sommelier Michael Jordan and Joey Kleinhans of the Wine Elite.\u00a0On Saturday<\/span><\/span>, sommeliers will\u00a0taste and discuss together with all attendees a flight of 6 important grape varietals grown in California.\u00a0On Sunday<\/span><\/span>, guests\u00a0<\/span>will enjoy a panel discussion featuring 3 pairs of wines, where each New World wine will be compared to an Old World wine with a similar flavor profile.<\/span><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Grand Tasting Pavilion<\/span><\/b>, where noteworthy OC executive chefs will be serving up gourmet cuisine, is open from\u00a012-3pm<\/span><\/span>, while hand-passed appetizers and desserts will be served throughout the day and enjoyed in our beautiful lounge areas.\u00a0Premier wines<\/b><\/span>\u00a0($100-$200 bottles) will be poured at the grand centerpiece bar of the Grand Tasting Pavilion, while over 25 wineries will line the walls of city hall.<\/div>\n

Get up close and personal with\u00a0celebrity and local chefs showcasing LIVE cooking demos<\/span><\/b>\u00a0on the outdoor and indoor stages. Throughout the day, emcee Peter Dills will introduce culinary masters Richard Blais, Rick Moonen, Jamie Gwen, Joe Youkhan, Sue Zemanick and Craig Strong (just to name a few) as they show guests how to recreate some of their best signature cuisine. Book signings with many of the chefs will be also be available.<\/div>\n

Guests will round out the day with\u00a0special mixology courses<\/span>\u00a0<\/b>from master, world-renowned Southern Wine & Spirits mixologists Francesco Lafranconi and Tricia Carr. Day one will feature hand-crafted cocktails from Duke Spirits (new bourbon company brought to life by John Wayne\u2019s grandson Ethan Wayne) and Patron Spirits\u00a0on Sunday<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n
