One single ALL-INCLUSIVE price is your ticket to the 15th Annual Taste of Huntington Beach \u2013 featuring delectable tastes from over 50 local restaurants and catering companies. Add in unlimited sips from your favorite wineries and breweries, along with live entertainment from OC\u2019s own Party Jones \u2013 and you have the perfect mix for a great day for you and your friends!<\/p>\n

Tickets for the 2015 Taste of Huntington Beach can be purchased at the Huntington Beach Central Library (Children\u2019s Desk), Longboard Restaurant & Pub in Downtown Huntington Beach and online at www.TasteHB.com<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span>The \u201cTaste of Huntington Beach\u201d is an annual event, which not only raises money for The Children’s Library of Huntington Beach, but also promotes the amazing variety of restaurants in Huntington Beach. The event takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 12 noon to 4pm at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex.<\/p>\n

Last year, I was a judge in the savory category and had a blast with my fellow team members: the amazing Cathy Thomas, cook book author and food columnist at Orange County Register, and Eva Kilgore, also a writer for the Register. I can say, “We called it!” when the award for Best Savory Dish went to Chef Roy Hendrickson of Zimzala at the Shorebreak Hotel for his Pork Flatiron Po-Boy.<\/p>\n

In addition, celebrity guest Neil Saavedra, the host of the Fork Report – \u201cEverything food, every single Saturday from 2-4PM on KFI AM 640!\u201d \u2013 awarded his own \u201cFork Report Big Fork\u201d to Shades Restaurant at the Hilton Waterfront Hotel and another \u201cFork Report\u2019s Choice\u201d to Slapfish Seafood.<\/p>\n

The winners at the 2014 Taste of Huntington Beach were: BEST SAVORY 1st Place: Zimzala<\/a> at the Shorebreak\u00a0Hotel;\u00a02nd Place: Solita Tacos & Margaritas<\/a> at Bella Terra; and 3rd Place: Pete\u2019s Sunset Grille at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach<\/a>.<\/p>\n

BEST SWEET was awarded to Simply Layered, 1st Place; \u00a02nd Place: Tomgirl Baking Company; \u00a03rd Place: Zimzala at the Shorebreak.<\/p>\n

Naturally, you’ll want to pair your favorite savory and sweet bites with sips from a stellar lineup of wine and beer samples from 35 of California\u2019s premier wineries and breweries. Last year local brewer Four Sons<\/a> won 1st Place for their Coco Amber Ale (I called it!); \u00a02nd Place: Sierra Nevada Kellerweis\u00a0and\u00a03rd Place: Firestone Walker 805 Blonde Ale. Awards are also decided for Best White and Best Red Wines, Best Decorated Booth, and Most Enthusiastic.<\/p>\n
