Before you settle into the Super Bowl game and football food action, a gentle reminder that next weekend is Valentine’s weekend and if you haven’t made a plan for treating your sweetie to something special, you should get on that. Many romantic, fine dining restaurants are already booked – I dined at Selanne’s Steak Tavern on Thursday with some friends and they already had a waitlist of 50 parties!<\/p>\n

We rarely dine out on actual Valentine’s Day because it’s so crowded and prix fixe menus aren’t always the best for people on special diets, so it’s kind of a good thing that V-Day is on Sunday because that gives celebrants three days\/evenings to express their love. Flowers, jewelry, champagne, chocolates, spa day, tickets to a big game or concert, spending alone time together – these are all tried and true ways to a girl’s heart (guys too!).<\/p>\n
