Remember Bistango in Irvine? Back in my corporate days it was the sophisticated place to go for lunch on days when you could actually leave the office rather than inhaling a sandwich at your desk!

It’s been more than a few years since I dined at Bistango, but their summer special of paella, sangria, and sexy flamenco music (live!) is calling my name!

Bistango Gardens is the hidden alfresco dining area in the Atrium area adjacent to Bistango, and they’re looking to heat things up this summer with the debut of Spanish Wednesdays beginning June 8. Each week from 5 – 9 p.m., the Irvine restaurant will serve up Pequeña Paella ($12) and Sangria ($7) as flamenco music fills the night air.
