Even if you are normally a cook from scratch kinda person, there are days when quality, gourmet sauces and marinades can transform a dish from ordinary to extraordinary with the twist of a cap. Saucy Mama sauces and marinades are just what you need.

While I specialize in simple recipes that fit your busy lifestyle, I know there are days when you and I have other things going on, right? And that is why I said “Yes” to trying an assortment of sauces, marinades, and mustards from Saucy Mama (aka Barhyte Specialty Foods) when they contacted me about entering their recipe contest.

With the holiday season quickly approaching and company coming, we’ll all be looking for tasty dishes to impress our guests, but to save our sanity. Dishes that are as quick to prepare as they are easy to eat are always appreciated – ideal for quick weeknight dinners, casual get-togethers, holiday entertaining, tailgating, and football parties.

If your house is like mine, football has high priority making this the perfect time to giveaway these six gourmet products from Barhyte’s signature Saucy Mama line. Named after their own Suzie “Saucy Mama” Barhyte, the co-founder of the company and lead chef behind the creations. The lucky winner will receive a bottle of Hot Wing Sauce, Cracked Pepper Marinade, Sweet Onion Marinade, Lime Chipotle Marinade, Chipotle Mustard, and Jalapeno Stuffed Olives!

I’ve made the Saucy Sliders (shown above) using Saucy Mama sauces and marinades at least five times for my family. Everyone absolutely loves them! I’ve made them for weekend football watching and for dinner on the evenings when I’m out or attending an event.

They’re soooo easy: a pound of ground turkey mixed with two tablespoons Worcestershire sauce and two tablespoons of Saucy Mama Lime Chipotle Marinade makes 8-10 sliders. Top with your favorite grated cheese (I used Manchego) and caramelized onions on slider buns – here I used Kings Hawaiian mini sub rolls (cut in half) because I couldn’t find the little slider buns they make.

When I received my box of goodies, I zeroed in on the Cracked Pepper marinade. I wanted to create a spectacular dish that was at once easy and elegant. Inspired by the classic French preparation for Steak au Poivre, I marinated tuna steaks in the Cracked Pepper marinade, quickly seared them on the grill, served atop a bed of arugula and baked potato – it made for a dazzling anniversary dinner! Read how you can prepare Tuna Steak au Poivre and a dinner party that looks like the work of a pro AND have no pots and pans to wash!

Saucy Mama Sauces and Marinades
