Not just any ole cake, but a cake made from scratch and tricked out by: <strong><span style=\"color: #ff1493;\">YOU<\/span><\/strong>! Yes, think &#8220;Build a Bear&#8221; (probably not the best reference for folks with no experience in the kid department), but for cakes.\u00a0 A few weeks ago, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackmarketbakery.com\/cakes.html\" target=\"_blank\">BlackMarket Bakery<\/a> invited a group of Orange County food bloggers to their kitchen to get our feedback on their newest offering and test the concept by letting us loose to create our own cake. We paired up and unleashed our creativity on a two-tiered, expertly frosted cake for a\u00a0 fun, low-key, everyone&#8217;s a winner Cake War!<\/p>\n<p>The general consensus was that this idea is appealing on many levels: it&#8217;s economical, it&#8217;s a fun party idea, it gives you a chance to unleash your creativity and revel in the praise that&#8217;s sure to follow. I, for one, had never decorated a cake, heck, I rarely bake, period. But that evening, my partner, Quyen of <a href=\"http:\/\/kitchenrunway.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kitchen Runway<\/a>, and I put our heads together and decided on a Lunar New Year theme and were really excited about how our cake turned out!
