For Earth Day, I’m sharing some of my images from a recent visit to the Overcrowded Rare Fruit Garden of Thom Hendricks in Huntington Beach. Arranged through Slow Food OC, Thom captivated our group of Slow Foodies with his vast knowledge of plants and rare fruits, his wry humor, his down-to-earth descriptions of his technique of grafting up to 6 different varieties of a species on one tree, and a live grafting demonstration.
