Stonefire Grill-3430

Stonefire Grill has added some incredible lunch and dinner specials that will make your wallet happy and offer you and your family a quick and healthy meal that you can feel good about eating!

What you see above is dinner for two!!, but let’s start with lunch. I was invited to bring a friend and have lunch on Stonefire Grill to check out their Seven for $7 lunch specials and was delighted that each one offered a salad accompaniment. With four choices even! Choose from the Garden, Caesar, Cartwheel or Traditional Greek Salad.  (Salad is my jam in case you didn’t know.)

Fish is also high on my list of must-eats for nutritional and pure love reasons, so I went with the Salmon and the Greek salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly and paired well with the cool, crunchy cucumbers, tomatoes, salty feta and Greek vinaigrette of the salad. All the lunch specials come with one of Stonefire’s  popular breadsticks – they forgot mine, but that’s OK, because my hips don’t need a breadstick…

As the name indicates, there are seven specials to choose from including: Petite Salad (choose from their BBQ Chopped, South of the Border or Golden State Kale; the Petite Salad with Salmon (above); Chicken Tortilla Soup & Salad; Petite Pesto Pasta, 9″ One-Topping Pizza, Sandwich & Side, or Petite Chicken Breast with Salad or Side.

My friend Jules selected the Petite Chicken Breast with the Cartwheel Salad. The Cartwheel Salad is not real pretty (those darn beets), but it’s chock full of good-for-you veggies like said beets, garbanzo beans, tomato and radishes.

We were encouraged to order several items to taste some of the other menu items, so we tried the BBQ Chicken Wrap – the chicken is mesquite grilled, as are all the proteins at Stonefire Grill, and combined with shredded lettuce avocado, tomato, red onion, and buttermilk dressing – it was huge, so it went home with Jules for dinner! We also tasted the Tortilla Soup which had lots of shredded chicken, a very flavorful base and was topped with Jack cheese, cilantro, avocado and tortilla chips.

We were too full for dessert, but I did snap this pic of the Incredible Carrot Cake from another table. This is acceptable among food bloggers 🙂 And, the carrot cake lives up to its name!

So, about dinner. Stonefire Grill is has two absolutely amazing dinner specials for $19.99 that are perfect for weeknight suppers or dinner on the go. I took home the Tri-Tip Special: half of a Mesquite grilled Tri-Tip, choice of two sides, and breadsticks. This was definitely enough for a family of three or four, unless you have growing boys. The salad was crisp, fresh, and way more than two people could eat at one sitting. You can specify how you would like the steak cooked and it was a very generous serving as well.

Because we love cauliflower and lots of veggies, I added the Whole Roasted Cauliflower for $5.99. Cauliflower is the IT vegetable right now and is making an appearance on many menus – roasted whole or in florets, sliced as cauliflower steaks, mashed as a substitute for potatoes, cauliflower rice, etc. If you’re not already sold on this cruciferous veg, you should give it a try. Stonefire’s roasted whole cauliflower is topped with lemon tahini and chopped parsley and was super delicious.

The Chicken Special includes twelve pieces of chicken (dark meat only), choice of salad,  a large order of garlic mashed potatoes and 8 breadsticks for $19.99. Again, a great deal for a satisfying meal and both of these specials are available to-go, call or order online.

Stonefire Grill has eight locations, two of which are in Orange County (Irvine and Fountain Valley). Their concept is one of simplicity and fresh, quality ingredients with a focus on grilled meats. They are budget friendly, family friendly and satisfy customers with gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and low-carb friendly options.
