With over 60 restaurants participating in 2017’s Newport Beach Restaurant Week, the next 14 days, January 16-29,  is the perfect time to explore new dining experiences or revisit old favorites. Mouthwatering prix-fixe menus starting at just $10 for lunch and $20 for dinner await you!

Options range from luxury dining offering international cuisine, locally sourced seafood, premium meats and grilled steaks to vegan and vegetarian specialties and beach side casual dining. Participating restaurants will be serving up special, two or three-course, prix-fixe menus, with lunches available for $10 – $25 and dinners for $20 – $50.

Perusing the list, 5 fine dining establishments that stand out to me with a restaurant week menu that provides exceptional choices and value for dinner include The A Restaurant, Bluefin,  Oak Grill at the Island Hotel, The Ritz Prime Seafood, and the Pelican Grill at Pelican Hill Resort. You can view all the menus here.

For lunch, the 5 eateries that popped out at me as offering choices that highlight their concept and bang for your buck that you absolutely must try if you’ve never been are: Tackle Box ($10 for a Top Chef sandwich, side and Jones soda!), Coliseum Pool & Grill ($20) at Pelican Hill Resort, Lighthouse Bayview Cafe ($20), Pizzeria Mozza ($20), Provenance ($20), and Sessions West Coast Deli ($10 and includes a craft beer!).

The full list of participating restaurants are available at dinenb.com. You can search restaurants by cuisine, neighborhood, prices, as well as view menus and make reservations online. Put some spark in your January and plan your restaurant itinerary to make the most of this annual culinary experience.

Thank you to the restaurants who took time out of their day to prepare tasty bites for the attendees of the launch party held at the stunning new community and sailing facility at Marina Park, also is home to The Lighthouse Bayview Cafe, on Balboa Blvd.
